The challenge

This feature helps users track the delivery of their debit or credit cards, and request changes in delivery, either repacting (modifying the delivery address) or rescuing (picking up at a branch).

The solution standardizes the experience globally, ensuring consistency while adapting to the specific regulations and needs of each market.

The problem

BBVA users often lost visibility once their cards were issued.
In many markets, tracking delivery was handled externally (courier sites) or not available at all.
Users couldn’t modify delivery details, resulting in failed deliveries, frustration, and operational costs for the bank.

Research & Insights

Through functional workshops with Argentina, Colombia, and Holding teams, we identified:

01

Users needed reassurance and visibility once the card left the branch.

02

Each market had different logistics providers and delivery flows.

03

Change of address and pickup at branch required secure validation (OTP/double factor).

04

We created a comparative framework to align flows and define global vs. local components.

The solution

We designed a modular framework that could be:

  • Adapted locally (different delivery states, validations, and flags).
  • Maintained globally (one source of truth in Figma + GloMo repository).

The experience included:

  • Tracking screen: real-time updates of delivery status.
  • Change delivery flow (Repacto): modify address or choose a new branch.
  • Pickup flow (Rescate): redirect delivery to a branch for manual collection.
  • Confirmation page: success screen and (optionally) confirmation email.
